Pope Francis over Britain

Following Pope Francis' flight back to Rome from his visit to Ireland, it was rather nice to see from Flightradar24.com that he passed through British airspace.  At about seven o'clock he flew high over the Ceredigion coast and crossed Wales (which remains unvisited by any Pope!) and then over southern England and on Romewards.

At about a quarter past seven he was right above the part of Gloucestershire that I wrote about in this piece from last year.  It is odd to think of him up there!

    1. What we really need is a Welsh Pope some day. Now that would put the cat among the pigeons!
