While pro-life canvassing recently, I meant a young woman (twenties) who was raving about how wonderful he is. Something about this scholarly old gent really seems to speak to the young folks!
It's good to hear that there are others in their twenties who like him. I think it's his grandfatherly adherence to the truth, his luminous writings (not least to young people; see the foreword to the Youth Catechism), his gentle defiance of all that threatens and damages us, and, since those things are all quite hard to fake, the sense that here is the genuine article. When I use the phrase 'great man' I mean it!
